SUV vs. Motorcycle MVA on Old 22

Friday, July 10, 2015  Engine 5111, utilities 5191 & 5192 & Cetronia EMS responded to a 2 vehicle injury accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Old 22.


Rollover On Golden Key Rd

Wednesday, June 24, 2015   Station 62 (Cetronia EMS), 51 (Weisenberg) & Rescue 1741 (New Tripoli) were dispatched for a single vehicle accident with rollover. The driver self extracated so the rescue was recalled enroute. Crews from Engine 5111 & Utility 5191 contained a fuel spill, performed traffic control & assisted towing. Golden Key Rd was closed for about an hour until the road was cleared.


Fire In Mechanical Room Of Office Building

Monday, June 22, 2015   Engine 5111 & Utility 5192 assisted Station 8 (Fogelsville) with a fire in the elevator room of a multi story office building. The call was initially dispatched as a water flow alarm with an odor of smoke. First arriving units found a fire in the elevator room that was extinguished by the sprinkler system. Crews from 51 assisted with ventilating smoke from the basement and controlling the activated sprinkler. Later that afternoon Station 51 assisted station 17 (New Tripoli) at an automatic alarm in Lynn Twp because their units were tied up on a vehicle accident. 


Crews Train For Vehicles Off Embankments

Monday, June 15, 2015   Crews from Weisenberg & New Tripoli Fire Depts. held a rescue training session at the Weisenberg Township Public Works Garage which simulated vehicles down an embankment. Unfortunately the training was cut a bit short due to a passing line of severe thunderstorms. 



Open House & Dedication

Saturday, May 30, 2015   Hundreds of people came out to station 51 for our Open House & Dedication Ceremony. A big thanks to everyone that helped make this event a success !



2015 Community Open House

Saturday, May 30, 2015  The Weisenberg Vol. Fire Dept. will be holding a Community Open House / Building & Engine 5111 Dedication on Saturday May 30th from 10 am - 2pm. We invite everyone from our community to come out and tour the fire station, meet the members and view our equipment. There will be food, games for the kids, contests, a live burn demonstration and much more! Our Guest Speaker will be Congressman Charlie Dent. This is a free event & will be held rain or shine.



Not Your Average Wires Call

Wednesday, May 27, 2015  Station 51 responded to Valley Rd for reported wires that were on the ground. Units on scene found a tractor trailer that took down phone wires & sheared 6 telephone poles. The truck was found just beyond the downed poles w/ a tree laying on top of it


Fire In Burn Barrel Spreads To Wood Shed

Monday, May 4, 2015   Station 51 (Weisenberg), Engine 44 (Kempton), Rescue 1741 (New Tripoli) & Station 62 (Cetronia EMS) were dispatched for a shed fire. Units arrived to find a fire in a burn barrel had spread to some nearby brush and a wood shed. The fire was quickly knocked down but units remained on scene for about 30 min while crews emptied the shed that was full of firewood to ensure that the fire was completely extinguished.


Mutual aid training

Sunday, April 26, 2015   Crews from Weisenberg and Berks 46 (Kutztown) spent the day training on live burn evolutions at the Berks County Training Center.  The scenarios focused on single family home fires in the basement as well as upper divisions



Brush Fire Spreads To House

Friday, April 24, 2015   Engine 5111, Tanker 5121, Truck 5131 & Utility 5191 assisted Station 26 (Tri Clover) at a fast moving brush fire that spread to a nearby house in Lowhill Twp. Units from stations 8 (Fogelsville),10 (Germansville),11 (Greenawalds),17 (New Tripoli) 22 (Schnecksville), 25 (Trexlertown), 32 (Woodlawn), 62 (Cetronia), & DCNR assisted at the scene.
