March 2011
- Please mark your calendars for an upoming eletronics recycling day to be held at our station at the end of April. for more details, please click the picture below.

- Within the next month you will be receiving our annual fund drive letter in the mail. Please return this with your 100% tax free donation that will support your township fire department.
December 2010
- The 2nd Annual Santa Run will be held on Saturday, Dcember 18th starting at 1 pm. For complete details, please go HERE
- Our final piece of apparatus is now in service. Tanker/Tender 5121 holds 4,000 gallons of water, and has a 1,000 gpm pump. For more details, please see our Apparatus page.
- We are now fully moved into our station but many more touch ups/finalizations are still ongoing. Look for more details for an official open house coming in the spring.
- From our Crew, we hope everyone has a wonderful and Happy Holiday season. Please stay safe!

August 2010
- The station construction is almost done! We hope to move in shortly and possibly have a public open house in October. More details to come as everything is finalized.
- A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far for the new station and fund drive. Your help is GREATLY appreciated!
- 7 new firefighters, including 4 Township Road crew members, have completed Essentials parts 1 and 2. This was a great time commitment held mostly during the daytime hours. Great job everyone!
- Many firefighters also participated in a Foam Training (entire weekend class) and are in the middle of a Pump I session.
- As of 8/11/10 we have responded to 63 calls this year
- With great help from the Department of Defense (donated a former military pickup truck to us), Newton Auto Body (excellent paint job), the Township Road Crew (helping refurb the truck and get street ready), and many firefighters, our Utility truck, 5191 is almost ready!

- Some interesting calls that we've run in the few months include a car fire, a couple challenging EMS assists (one with a MedEvac landing, a house fire, and a trash compactor fire

April 2010
- A huge congratulations to our newest official firefighters
- Daniel Roland
- Ralph Pastore
- Both Daniel and Ralph spent months attending numerous training courses and testing days to achieve their Delmar Essentials course certificate. This course was over 180 hours! We wish them best of luck as they study for the national Firefighter I test in May.
- Excellent progress being made on station construction now that there is no more snow and the rain has stopped. Concrete floor poured the first few days of the month
- As of 4/5/10 we have run 30 calls in 2010
March 2010
- After large snow falls resulting in some setbacks, progress is being made again on our new station
- Colors for the interior will be decided shortly although it will be some time before we are ready for them!
- New gear has arrived for firefighters who joined recently
- Most officers are now attending NIMS classes
- Some new firefighters are almost through their FF Essentials classes
- Many members now have at least their CDL permits and will be working to become Operators
- Scott Wendling was officially appointed Safety Officer
- Best Wishes to Captain Dave Beitler who broke his leg while skiing, despite trying to keep up with his 15 year old son.
- Best Wishes to Supporter Judy Westenhoffer as she recuperates from minor surgery.
- As of 3/9/10 we have run 23 calls this year.
January 2010
- Our first ever Fund Drive has gone out to all residents in the Township. Please donate now!
- Preliminary site work has been completed at our station
- Footers have been poured
- Frost walls are now completed...the weather is cooperating to have great progress
- As of 1/30/10 we have run 12 calls this month.
December 2009
- WVFD held a Santa Run on Saturday, December 19, 2009
- Our new station's official groundbreaking occurred in November...site work occurring now.
- Here are some of your Township Firefighters and Supervisors, after the groundbreaking ceremony:

- 12/05/09 --> 3845 Buck Hill Circle (Lowhill Township) - Truck 5131 was called for Mutual Aid assistance to respond to a working dwelling fire. A crew of 4 operated on the scene for approximately 4 hours (photos by FF John Whelden).
